Art and Human Rights

Exploring Artivism as a Conversation Starter

The discussion will shed light on the importance of art in the championing for equality and non discrimination; and securing real, lasting change for the marginalized in society. Specifically, we seek to explore the role the art has played and continues to play in advancing the human rights for LGBTIQ+ individuals. The panel will share the various mediums they use and the change that they have seen or hope to see through their work as they answer the question - Is art truly making a difference in acceptance of LGBTI in Kenya?
