The incoming special envoy, OutRight’s Executive Director Jessica Stern, comments that she sees promising, as well as worrisome, news for global LGBTIQ rights. She describes the ongoing attacks against the LGBTIQ community in the United States, including the anti-trans legislation aimed at LGBTIQ youth and athletes, as well as delays in passing the Equality Act. She emphasizes that no country’s track record is perfect when it comes to LGBTIQ rights.
