Deputy Director, Maria Sjödin, joins Newsy Tonight’s Chance Seales to discuss the restrictions placed on LGBTIQ families globally. This interview was conducted in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to side with a Catholic foster agency’s ability to refuse same-sex couples from participating in foster care. Maria speaks about the current status of LGBTIQ family rights globally and the trends towards discriminating against LGBTIQ families to protect “traditional family values.”
