As Member States and other stakeholders come to the High-Level Political Forum to review progress towards the 2030 Agenda, you are invited to join the International Planned Parenthood Federation and OutRight Action International side event.
This side event will explore the specific elements of the 2030 Agenda that, when implemented fully at a national level, will ensure that women and their families are free from restrictive government policies and practices that seek to limit access to life-saving information and services, and that intervene in an individual’s ability to freely choose the composition, timing and size of their families and assert their sexual autonomy and gender identity.
Speakers will review the potential of the 2030 Agenda to inspire action on access to modern contraception, abortion and comprehensive sexuality education, and to promote sexual and gender diversity, and share examples from where progress has been made and specific challenges have been facedTo ensure that member states 'leave no one behind’ these issues must be addressed to be able to promote the well-being and human rights of the most marginalized.
