OutSummit 2017

OutSummit 2017 pushes the boundaries for global LGBTIQ activism during a one day conference in New York City by bringing together a line up of speakers to discuss and reflect on current issues being faced by the global LGBTIQ human rights movement.

Grace Poore, OutRight's Regional Program Coordinator for Asia, reflected about the day:

40 LGBTIQ Activists, 29 Countries, 5 Days of Activism in New York City

“Advocacy week allows for LGBTIQ voices and lived realities to be brought to the attention of Ambassadors and diplomats at the United Nations, people with power to influence change at the international level. At the same time it offers activists from the world over to come together to strategize and learn from each other. The purpose is to catalyze real, positive change in the lives of LGBTIQ people.”

~ Jessica Stern, Executive Director of OutRight Action International
