Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) 2017
The sixty-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 13 to 24 March 2017
Representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world are invited to attend the session.

Phoenix has created a mind-bogglingly beautiful and moving installation of porcelain white disco balls in tribute to the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

Advocacy Week 2016
OutRight Action International kicks off the global week of advocacy, where 60 LGBTIQ activists from 27 countries from every region of the world has come to participate in the organization’s 5th annual United Nations Advocacy Week. From December 5 to 9, human rights defenders meet with government representatives and UN officials.
OutSummit 2016

OutSummit is a one day conference brings together international and US-based activists for a day of panels and workshops on human rights relating to sexual orientation, gender identity and intersex issues. Co-hosted with CUNY School of Law & Sorensen Center.
Women’s Sexual Diversity Conference to Stress Inclusion and Diversity
From Oct. 4 - 7, activists from around the Caribbean will meet on St. Croix to focus on individual activism and program development for their organization through confidence-building, knowledge and skills transfer. Liberty Place of St Croix will this year co-host the conference, previously co-hosted by FOKO in Curacao, WomenSWay in Suriname and Womantra in Trinidad.
Conceptualized by Kenita Placide, the CWSDC is now vested in the Eastern Caribbean Alliance for Diversity and Equality (ECADE), with U&S playing the role of an organizing partner in 2016.
