Outright Documents Recent Violence against LBT People to the UN Commission on the Status of Women

Every year, a subgroup of member states of the UN Commission on the Status of Women meets behind closed doors to review individual cases of violations of women's human rights. The discussion leads to a report on trends in the violations women face, to direct the Commission's work towards the most pressing needs. This year, IGLHRC is submitting seven communications. These communications include documentation of recent violence against lesbians, bisexual women, and trans people in Colombia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka.
