Support LGBT Haitians after Hurricane Matthew
Your chance to make a difference for an LGBT organization in crisis
Hurricane Matthew devastated Haiti. Our partner organization in Haiti, SEROvie needs emergency funds now!
SEROvie has been working in the two hardest hit regions of Haiti for six years and now hear from their community members about the devastation after Hurricane Matthew.
People have basic needs like toiletries, cookware and food. Some people might have to relocate to a safer region.
- LGBT members of Haiti face significant hurdles to aid. With their ties to the community, SEROvie will be at the forefront of ensuring access to aid.
- OutRight will pass all donations made here directly to SEROvie.
OutRight has worked with SEROvie in the past and documented the aggravated vulnerability of the LGBT community after the earthquake in 2010. LGBT Haitians were largely ignored by international aid organizations and the government in post earthquake Haiti—resulting in increased discrimination, violence and the rape of gay men, lesbians and transgender women.
Please help support LGBT Haitians now!
