NikkieTutorials (she/her/hers)
Content Creator/TV Host

Nikki Tutorials

Nikkie got lovestruck with makeup when she was a young teenager. She taught herself the skills through Youtube tutorials and a lot of practicing. All the money she earned at the local supermarket went straight into a ton of makeup with lots and lots of highlighter.

Her first video, made with her mom’s digital camera, only got 8 views and 3 comments. But that didn’t dim her flame. At all. She practiced even more, asked viewers for feedback and kept putting up video after video, night after night. While everybody was going out, celebrating birthdays and having Christmas dinners, Nikkie was making videos.

As a self taught makeup artist, she decided to make it official by attending a beauty academy. At this time her channel already made it to the nr 1. most subscribed and most watched beauty channel in the Netherlands and entered the top 5 of beauty channels worldwide. Although she learned a lot at beauty school, she got tired of having to learn how to copy other people’s signature looks. She wanted to create a signature look of her own. To experiment with mash ups of different styles, colors and textures and most importantly; She wanted to inspire the world with the power of makeup.

The ‘Power of makeup’ video went viral and skyrocketed her career. In this video, with more than 39 million views and counting, Nikkie leaves half of her face totally bare to show how transformative makeup can be. At the same time she calls out the makeup shamers: makeup is a form of self expression and there is no shame in experimenting with beauty.

In under 10 years, she went from a 14 year old girl rushing to the drugstore on her bike, spending her hard earned money on makeup.... to a world famous Beauty personality with a Teen Choice Award appearing on international television shows, popping up regularly on magazine covers and creating her own make up in collaboration with several brands.

Today, this 27 year old entrepreneur is a household name among beauty artists and celebrities worldwide like Adele, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Drew Barrymore and many more. With 14 million subscribers on Youtube and 15 million followers on Instagram who she calls ‘Glowbabies’ she reached Diamond status. Nikkie’s videos are being watched in more than 145 countries and she is a proud member of YouTube’s Billion View Club.

But all this isn’t stopping her from raising the bar. In 2020 Nikkie revealed that she is a trans woman. The, worldwide most ever watched, coming out video is a statement for woman empowerment and transgender rights. Adjusting to her role as UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Netherlands she opens conversations about acceptance and being true to yourself. Nikkie truly puts the ‘artist’ in makeup artist and she’s not planning on putting down her brushes, sponges and beauty blenders anytime soon.
