A new article from Thomson Reuters, sent out on the agency's news wire, reports on the data found in Outright’s new report “No Access,” which was conducted in partnership with the University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab and the Open Observatory of Network Interference. The article focuses primarily on the data discovered in Russia and and how online LGBTIQ censorship affects the advocacy efforts of local civil society organizations. The article comments that, despite being a signatory of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Russia restricts access to LGBTIQ content online by falsely accusing it of representing pornography.
