GLIDE Landscape Analysis Launch: A Global View of LGBTQI+ Political Participation

Please join the Global LGBTQI+ Inclusive Democracy and Empowerment (GLIDE) Initiative on Tuesday, July 30th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM EST for the launch of the Initiative’s global landscape analysis report, which explores the status of LGBTQI+ people and their civic and democratic participation around the world.

The discussion will explore the findings such as key areas impacting the ability and willingness of LGBTQI+ people to engage in democratic and political processes such as protective and harmful legislation, respect for the rule of law, the impact of corruption, presence of LGBTQI+ candidates and legislators, protection of the human rights of LGBTQI+ people, and presence of and space for civil society to engage on LGBTQI+ issues.

The launch is virtual and open to all. Language interpretation will be available in Arabic, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
