Strategy for Ensuring LGBTIQ Inclusion in Humanitarian Response in Ukraine
Outright convened the First National Forum on LGBTIQ Inclusion in Humanitarian Response, in Kyiv, Ukraine, on April 9 and 10, 2024, which led to the creation of this strategy. The strategy was developed jointly by all National Forum on LGBTIQ Inclusion in the Humanitarian Response in Ukraine participants and LGBTIQ activists under the supervision of Vitalii Zakharchuk, LGBTIQ Inclusion Advisor.
LGBTIQ communities in Ukraine have faced and continue to face serious challenges in protecting their rights and interests and even in defending their own human dignity.
As part of this strategy, we examine the challenges faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ) communities in Ukraine through the lens of minimum standards for humanitarian assistance.
