What’s happening? Due to a drastic cutback in funding, many LGBT people will not be attending AIDS 2014 in Melbourne, Australia. This also means many people from key affected populations who cannot afford to attend this conference on their own are being left behind.
How can my voice be heard? To ensure that the realities of LGBT people do not go unheard at AIDS 2014, the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) is collecting materials from LGBT people around the world to inform our presentations and demonstrate the impact of leaving LGBT people out of the conference.
Tell us why #LGBTMatters at #AIDS2014!
Send your photos and videos to @iglhrc with the hashtags #LGBTMatters and #AIDS2014.
We also encourage those who are attending to SPEAK OUT! Please visit the first-ever Trans Networking Zone and the MSM Networking Zone in the Global Village, and form community with other LGBT people who are attending.
Take the survey!
Please Note: By submitting photos, videos, and written responses to this campaign, you give IGLHRC permission to re-publish, quote and display your submissions
