Matuba Mahlatjie Talks to Newsroom Afrika about the Vatican’s New Stance on Same-Sex Couples

Matuba Mahlatjie, Outright's Communications and Media Relations Manager, was interviewed by Newsroom Afrika’s Thabo Mdluli on the Vatican’s new stance on same-sex couples. Matuba shared that it is the right direction to recognize queer rights. He also emphasized that the Vatican as a UN observer should use its latest stance to promote LGBTIQ rights at that level to push back against a narrative that uses religion to criminalize and discriminate queer individuals.
