The Host: Do you think talking about homosexuality helps promote this phenomenon?

Farid Haerinejad: I don't think this is about promoting anything. Media have a responsibility to talk about social realities. LGBT people are part of our society and we can't ignore them and the violation of their rights. Talking about this issue is the responsible thing to do.

Farid Haerinejad: We must avoid calling people gay as a form of insult. There is nothing wrong with being LGBT. They are our brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers. They are members of the society and deserve to be treated with respect.

Farid Haerinejad: LGBT rights is not a marginal issue... It is a mainstream issue and it should be treated as such by the media...
