Sahar Moazami, UN Program Officer, writes op-ed for Openly

In an opinion piece published by Openly, UN Program Officer Sahar Moazami writes on the growing anti-gender movement which openly combats efforts to support the LGBTIQ community, thereby also putting gender equality at risk. In the opinion piece, Moazami comments on the evolution of the Beijing Platform for Action and the ways in which anti-gender coalitions halted progress for inclusion of the LGBTIQ community or genuine empowerment of women, and reflects on efforts by UN Women and others to correct past mistakes in the current Gender Equality process.
